The 3 Most Ninja Pickleball Shots

Ninja Pickleball Shots

The ATP, The Disguised Forehand & The Crouching Smash

Mastering the ATP
The Around the Post (ATP) is one of the most exciting shots in pickleball. The shot curves around the outside of the net post, landing in the opponent's court. It might seem illegal at first, but it's perfectly within the rules.

Why Learn the ATP?
Surprise Factor: The ATP is unexpected, disrupting your opponent's rhythm and giving you a huge advantage.
Opens Up the Court: By hitting around the post, you create angles that your opponents simply can't defend.
It's Just Plain Fun! There's nothing quite like the satisfaction of nailing a perfect ATP.

How to Hit the ATP: The Breakdown
1. Timing is Everything: Wait for the right ball – one that's hit wide to your side. Let it drop low to give you more angle to work with.

Do You Know Why Smells Linger On Activewear Fabrics?

Activewear fabrics trap sweat & dead skin due to the tightly woven fabrics. Normal detergents coat over these so once your body heats up the stink returns.

ACTIVE detergent uses an enzyme blend to break down & remove sweat, oil, and dead skin fast!

Christy’s of Indiana Holding Online Auction Of Now-Defunct “Pickleball Rocks” Business

Going Once, Going Twice…

This past Monday marked the start of Christy’s of Indiana online auction of the entire inventory of the now-defunct business, Pickleball Rocks. The auction includes 7,000 square feet of pickleball gear: hats, shirts, balls, nets, promotional magnets, license plate frames, and thousands of paddles. The proceeds will benefit victims of a massive pickleball investment scam.

Rodney Grubbs, the man behind Pickleball Rocks, was once a prominent figure in the pickleball community, traveling nationwide to sell equipment and solicit investments. However, his business empire crumbled under the weight of fraudulent promises and mounting debts, leaving investors seeking justice and restitution.

  💪 Pickleball Pitfalls:
Avoiding Common Mistakes

Common Mistakes &
How to Avoid Them

Too much backswing: I preach little to no backswing all the time. Especially with the dink, you need little backswing. With a serve or groundstroke, you may need a bit more backswing, but not much.

Running through the shot: Your body is a source of energy. Move, hit, recover is a great hint.

Challenge the net: Risking the net is a major problem. If you hit it in the net, your opponent does not need to make any decisions or execute any shots. Miss over the net. The point is over as soon as you hit into the net. Respect the net.

Variables: Less extraneous movement. Less extra stepping, backswing, follow-through, split steps. The fewer variables you have, the less mistakes you make. “Less is More.”

Not getting to the NVZ after your return of serve: Your goal is to get to the NVZ before your opponent executes the third shot.

· Return high and deep, so you can get to the NVZ early to take advantage.

· Returning hard, but short. You are enabling your opponent to come in!

· A tough, deep serve forces you to execute a short return. In this case, you need to split step in the transition zone, return deep, then come all the way in.

· The team that controls the NVZ, or the “winning line”, will win the match.

A great suggestion from Johnson is to bring your camera out to the court and set it up to watch you play.

Are you returning deep? Are you keeping it out of the net? Are you keeping your backswing short? Are you limiting your extra variable movement?
